Hi guys, quick one for you.

My MR2 had a lovely almost new "go faster" steering wheel in it made by Richbrook, i have now fitted my stereo out of the MR2 into the Vectra and rendered the stereo controls on the steering wheel useless! Being as thats the case i'd like to put the steering wheel out of the MR2 into the Vectra as it would be nicer than the orginal and match the dash colours nicely.

Question is....where the hell to i get a new boss from???? Everyone i have asked so far has said they can't get one for it?!?!?!

Is this the case or am i looking in the wrong places? Help appreciated......!

Ordered the 3.8 FPR by the way....cheers Mick for the part no.!

Well, just spoke to Halfords and apparently they can do one.....although my mate said they won't sell ones for cars that have airbags so it looks like i'm sorted!!!! :clap2:

Ive got a momo in my vec my boss is out of a calibra but you need the stalk carrier out of a cav or calibra pre airbag as there is a very small mod to da with the wiring to get the horn to work.

A couple more things dont forget to disconnect your battery and youll have to take the airbag light out the clocks as it will stay on but while the clocks are out fit some l.e.d.s if you havent done that already then thats 2 jobs done in one hit.

Thanks chap, most helpful.

Taking dash out needs to be done at some point anyway as the indicator bulb has blown, prob nick the one out of the airbag light and put it in the indicator one spot on!!!! :biggrin1:

One of my car mechanic mates reckons its a pain getting the dash out of them though.....

What year's your fireblade? Like the mid 90's blades......

Right, i've got the momo boss now.

Obviously it won't fit at all unless i remove the black plastic unit that transmits the wires for the stereo controls etc through the wheel.

Did you say the thing to do is get one of these out of a cavalier or something? do they fit straight in?

UPDATE: Scrap the above, appears that you can buy one that will fit straight on from another source so i'm doing that!

Cheers

Sam
