thanks everyone.looks a brilliant,friendly site,congratulations.
any advice/tips/mods on the sri v6 or probs to look for please?
whats the best exhaust to get the v6 rumble out ect?
ive heard quite a few around my area that sound awesome,i had to double take when i heard the noise approaching, then realised it was a vectra lol.
do you recommend a replacement panel filter or induction kit?
or are the mafs sensative to 57i kits ect?
what size wheels can you fit under the arches without any fuss, and tyre width ?
sorry,lol,to many questions.

easy mods & cheap are do the 3 pipe airbox mod, with a cone filter for noise go with something like k & n or ramair, for power go with viper,
Also put on a 3.8 Fpr to remove flatspots, enlarged throttle body for increased airflow
worse thing to look for are the rear exhaust manifolds /. egr pipe splitting, = loss power & hell of a noise from engine bay
Rumble you like well get a remus centre pipe with something aftermarket back end, theres loads to choose from irmscher, magnex, remus, blue flame etc
i think depending on your drop of your car you can get 18 19 or even 20, depends how low you go
There are many other things you can do, Just pop up to the meet next sun for a chat

looks like the last owner was part of a club, performance vauxhall.co.uk or sumat,as theres a sticker in the rear window?!
cant wait to get her.itll be a pleasant change from a subaru impreza.

"Rumble you like well get a remus centre pipe with something aftermarket back end, theres loads to choose from irmscher, magnex, remus, blue flame etc"
when you say remus centre section, are you talking from the cat back or a de cat mate?
as with the scoobs,de catting made a big difference to power and sound but cost alot of wonga.it has the irmscher back box on but is still quiet i like my cars with a bit of volume, not chav loud, but a nice volume.lol.
would a remus centre section mate up to my irmscher back box or would i need the whole lot?
many thanks.

exhaust are 3 parts fella
back end you have the double D, remus would be a straight through centre ( this one )
VECTRA B REMUS CENTRE SECTION RACING TUBE on eBay, also Exhaust Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 27-Nov-07 21:31:52 GMT) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VECTRA-B-REMUS-CENTRE-SECTION-RACING-TUBE_W0QQitemZ200175096937QQihZ010QQcategoryZ38786QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
You could invest in a sports stainless cat ( which work superb, wel has for me ) or even decat at the front end
Or for lots more wonga about £700-800 full stainless exhaust manifolds bells & cat in one, Failing that just cut out your own cat & weld in pipe, seems to be common practice

I heard that the irmscher back box is more restrictive than a c.apy single one off an LS, sorry babe :peep: have a look on Welcome to Exhaust UK (http://www.exhaustsuk.com) and enjoy as they can custom make one as well if you wish lol :becky: :becky: :becky: :becky:

went to see exhaust uk,he said the same,"the irmscher back box is VERY restrictive and overpriced"!!
so thats gotta go,lol.think il get the remus centre then see which is the better value, remus back box or a custom made one from them.
anyone had any probs after removing the cat? any bad running or lights on the dash ect? when i de catted the scoob,i had to have a cell fix fitted.
or can i just whip it out and jobs a good un?
thankyou all for the great advice, much appreciated.x
