i've had the heat shield off and the crack is visible .: :frown:
Anybody have a rough idea of what one of these will cost?

look out on ebay mate. the hardest part is getting the bolts out of the head without them shearing off :( if that happens its about 80 quid to call out a bolt removal guy. unless you have yourself a removal tool!!
you can have the manifold welded iirc, not sure how much but colud be a quick fix for now

nice one m8:thumb: , had a nosey round ebay and couldnt find one, so this afternoon I decided to do the temporary fix and get out the trusty old mig,
seems to have done the job o.k.
If it doesn't give me any more problems it will become a permanent fix.

Think yourself lucky, a 4 branch on mine is about 700 quid cos it has a cat just under the manifold. Great idea Vauxhall!!!!!:der:

Er let me see the begining of last year I had oil in the header tank it looked like a McDonalds McFlurry, the inlet manofld gasket was leaking replaced that, still leaking found out it was the oil pump replaced that. Both steering rods started to have play in them replaced them near side shock ashorber gone guess what replaced that, sensor in the exhaust rattling keep getting the engine management light on -off waiting for part to be delivered so can have that replaced err think that's it Not that im moaning of course I still like Veccy's....

dont know if anyone else has had this problem but i found that when travelling at a steady speed my 99 would jerk as if misfiring and vx could never find the fault, they even wired up the comp and took it for a drive, sure enough it did it again, but the computer it says NO! think it was the hego sensor, or so i'm told, but what the hell, i sold the dog:amen:

The securing strap that holds the petrol tank on is prone to looseining so see if its tight another well known vectra problem chap
