warning lights

Can anyone shed any light on why my yellow warning light... managmant?(looks like sparky thinky )comes on now and again and engine appears to lose power then goes off after a couple of miles ,happens about every two weeks, also now the seat belt/airbag warning lights stays on all the time .any advice welcome...meldrew

there is only one answer that is going down the dealier and get them to put it on tech 2 and they can re-set your air bag light as well.
It would be nice if you went in the introdution section and say hello

Have now got the car booked in for diagnostic test .next month.will let you know the results

You can do the paper clip test yourself, and find out the fault codes.

Cheaper than a main dealer.

The airbag light useally comes on because the connector for the seat pre-tensioner seat belts has slightly come apart.You can find this unerneath the drivers and passenger seat.This is a common problem on the vectra models.
To do a perminant fix put a cable tie around it and pull both the connectors together to stop it coming apart (do this to driver and passenger side).
You will still need to go on tech2 to have the light taken off.
You can do a paperclip test depending what model you have as some vectras do not have the pin required to do this .If the pin is not present you will need to have your car put on tech2 at the dealers.
