Hi All, Have Found A Small Leak In The Boot Area Of My 98 Vectra Sport Hatch. Seems To Be Coming From Behind The Tailgate And Running Down Into The Boot. Any Suggestions Where To Start Looking And Appropriate Action. I.E. Silicon Sealant E.T.C. Cheers.

This will be the grommet on the rear wiper motor shaft mate.
Take the hatch rear cover off and remove the rear wiper arm you will then need to remove the rear wiper motor you should now see the grommet which will need replacing with a new one. This is a common problem on the hatch back models as they tend to age harden and leak after time.

I had this problem too. Funny how we all have the same ones...
I got myself a 310ml cartridge of black Dow Corning silicone like this
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/62431/Sealants-Adhesives/Sealants/All-Weather-Sealants/Dow-Corning-791-Weatherproof-Silicone-Black
and took the wiper arm apart. Then re-assembled it adding sealer to all the parts.
Jobs a good 'un
Applied sealer to the light-cluster seals too just for good measure.
The quarter-lights are next...

As stated above the back lights can also leak due to vauxhall only nipping up the 4 x 10mm nuts sometimes they only need a tweek up but be careful the studs are only moulded into the plastic and can break off easly.

Another place to look for a leak is the rubber boot which carries the electrics to the hatchback door. Its situated at the top left corner of the body with the hatch open. Mine was a crap fit and was letting in loads of water when it rained as its in the path that water takes as it runs off the roof! The water shows up as damp near the rear-left light cluster.
Sealed it up with my new-best-friend...black silicone sealer! Think i may buy shares in the company that makes it!!!! LOL
Fingers crossed, i'm now water-tight at the back end....

the hatches are bad for cracks between the panels lift the boot and where the gutters meet the roof look about there as its like a putty filled between where the roof and the boot join and the cracks let water in so some silicone and job done
